Following on from last months flat pack that had been made for the switch panel, we now needed to fit this to the car. After much checking for the correct angle so it can all be reached with ease it was welded in.
The next job was to continue with the parcel shelf. As the corner pieces had been made the centre panel had to be made and fitted. This started off as two pieces that could be joined together once in the car.
However when fitted in the car we weren’t keen on how it looked, it didn’t have the right feel to it. So we set about making it in a different manner.
The first piece to be made was the top panel. The decision was also made to make it out of alloy this time as opposed to steel.
The next part was the upright. This time made in one piece with slightly oversized slots to fit around the cage to enable it to be put in place. These will be sealed once the cage is all in place.
These will then be riveted in.
